Throwing Stones and Opinions(50:51)
|
First, the panel discusses the upcoming rally in Manhattan’s Time Square on Wednesday to protest the Iran deal. A debate emerges over whether the gathering, which is set to have satellites around the United States, could influence the opinions of Congressional Democrats who are on the fence about the nuclear agreement.
Next, the panel argues whether the Knesset’s new bill to increase jail time for terrorists who throw rocks at Israeli citizens and soldiers will serve as a deterrent to potential attackers.
Then, the panel marvels at the European focus on Israel, as, only days after signing a deal with Iran, the EU has already begun to consider strategies to kick-start peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
Finally, the panelists are not surprised by the news that the United Nations has approved accreditation for a Palestinian NGO which Israel says has ties to Hamas.
