A Jew in Jamaica - Flyin’ like in Zion?
Rabbi Dana Kalplan looks more like the rabbi of Jamaica, New York, than Kingston, Jamaica, but he took over a congregation in Kingston that had not had a rabbi in 33 years. His synagogue survived a hurricane and is still going strong, even though the floor is made of sand. A historian, the rabbi tells stories of the history of the Jamaican Jewish community. Gil Hoffman asks him what Rastafarians think about the real Zion.
