To be a Cohen, a member of the ancient Jewish priesthood, has special status in Judaism. But is it still relevant in modern times? And if so, what does it entail?
VOI’s Rabbi Jeremy Gimpel and co-host Rabbi Ari Abramowitz are joined in-studio by a panel of “Cohens” to ask them about their personal lives as a part of priestly tribe. Rabbi Shlomo Katz, musician Eliezer Botzer and Israel peace activist Yehuda Hakohen talk about the familial connection they feel to other priests, even when they don’t know them personally.
