Rabbi Chaim Richman, international director of the Temple Institute, tells Josh Hasten about the situation surrounding the holiest site in Judaism.
He says the situation for non-Muslims at the site — Jews in particular — has deteriorated, with Waqf fanatics paid to verbally attack them. Nevertheless, he says, the fact that thousands visited there on Tisha B’Av shows that there is an awakening among Jews about the significance of the holy site.
