Southern region archaeologist Tali Erickson-Gini of the Israel Antiquities Authority speaks with VOI's Eve Harow about her work in the Negev.
As an expert on the rich, multicultural past of Israel’s south, Erickson-Gini spends her days interpreting and analyzing her findings on the Nabateans, Hasmoneans and Romans, which include discovering the trade routes indicating the evidence of the social and economic importance of spices. She describes her endless passion for her challenging work, and explains why she seeks to place her archaeological discoveries within the context of the Biblical perspective.
