A War of Words with the Highest of Stakes(50:39)
|
First, Josh discusses Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s live webcast yesterday evening, in which clearly explained to American Jewish leaders why the nuclear agreement endangers Israel, the Middle East and the world as a whole. He then juxtaposes this with President Barack Obama’s remarks to a small group of Jewish leaders according to which rejecting the deal would be a dangerous, self-fulfilling prophecy, and bring great harm to Israel and the Jewish people.
Then, Josh hears from Ari Briggs of Regavim — an organization dedicated to protecting Israel’s public lands — who says the conflict with the Arab village of Susiya has become an international media spectacle. Despite reasonable questions about the legal ownership of the town, the world community unequivocally demands that Israel refrain from destroying the village.
Finally, Josh is joined by VOI’s Daniel Seaman, who says the Obama administration is succeeding in spinning the obviously distressing elements of the Iran deal, in order to convince the US Congress and American Jews to support it.
