Dr. David Zlotnick, medical director of TEREM, talks to VOI’s Yishai Fleisher about providing a quick response to Israelis in medical distress.
This is the fulfillment of the vision of Dr. David Applebaum, an American-born Israeli physician and rabbi who was murdered, along with his daughter, in the 2003 Cafe Hillel bombing. Applebaum pioneered the idea of immediate care clinics in Israel. TEREM has grown to be a chain of 16 clinics to which Israel’s citizens, especially those on the periphery, can turn for their medical needs. An immigrant from Canada, Zlotnick is now focused on healing patients and reforming the country’s health-care system. listen now
