Canadian businessman Laurent Amram, the visionary behind a mega Torah scroll memorial to fallen soldiers, tells Josh Hasten about his initiative.
The dedication of 75 Torah scrolls from around the world took place last week at the Western Wall, commemorating those who fell during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza last summer. Amram says the goal of having Torahs written in their memory was to perpetuate their legacies. The Torahs are now being distributed to IDF bases and synagogues in need of holy scrolls. listen now
