A Catholic Passover Seder?
Dominican Friar, Brother Erik Ross, joins VOI's Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel in-studio -- all the way from a monastery in Switzerland -- to celebrate Easter and Passover in the Holy Land. In a candid conversation, they discuss some of the most pressing issues at the root of Jewish-Catholic relations for more than 1,000 years, and new perspectives emerging from the Catholic Church. Do Catholics believe that the Jews are the "chosen people"? Will they make it to heaven based on their covenant with God?
With Passover on the horizon, Erik explains why more and more Catholics are celebrating Passover with a seder and finding meaning in the Jewish origins of their faith.
Also, In modern Rome, only 2% of Catholics attend church. Tune in to hear what this monk is doing to revitalize and invigorate his ancient faith path for modern Europeans.
Should Jews and Catholics be meeting and discussing theology, or should we be silently waiting for each other's faith to whither away?
