The Judean balsam used in the anointing of ancient kings and prophets is now being grown in the Jordan Valley.
Former journalist Guy Ehrlich, who grows the ancient “afarsimon” (Judean balsam) plant in the Jordan Valley, joins VOI’s Eve Harow to talk about how this endeavor led to his becoming an expert on the incense and oils of the Temple. He says that the afarsimon plant, thought extinct, is back in the land of Israel, like the Jews. listen now
