On the eve of the 2014 General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), second term CEO Jerry Silverman elaborates to Eve Harow on the successes and challenges of American Jewry's umbrella group. During Protective Edge, JFNA raised one million dollars per day for Israel while 8 missions came to the heart of the war zone. Camp and campus, singles and survivors, leadership and learning are a few of the programs the 153 Federations and Jewish Agency run to build and maintain Jewish communities worldwide.
