No Camels, BlueStream and Playing the New Game(49:42)
|
VOI’s Simcha Gluck is joined by Dr. Noam Lemelshtrich Latar, founding dean of the Sammy Ofer School of Communications at IDC Herzliya and creator of No Camels, a website dealing with Israeli innovation. Lemelshtrich Latar talks about why he established the site, how he came up with its name and discusses where it’s headed in the future.
Then, Simcha is joined in-studio by Ilya Budik and Joe Straus from Blue Stream Partners, who talk about the work they do in connecting investors with the inventors of medical technology in Israel. They explain what they look for in companies for which to provide strategic business development services. They also discuss their passion for the endeavor.
Finally, Simcha and Ronen Gafni, co-authors of Wiley’s “The New Entrepreneurz,” take listeners through a summary of Chapter 3’s “What Game Are You Playing?” They identify three main points:
1. Understanding that life and everything in it is essentially a game.
2. We’ve been playing the wrong games for many years, which has led to financial crises and unhealthy lifetsyles.
3. What the right games are in the New Shared Economy, where “Access Trumps Ownership.”
