Media Bias, Face Recognition Security and Julian Edelman in Israel(50:38)
|
VOI’s Josh Hasten is joined by HonestReporting’s Yarden Frankl to discuss this week’s media coverage of Israel: The “flotilla” story sinks; a headline again neglects to mention that a Palestinian was killed after opening fire on IDF soldiers; the New York Times editorializes that the United National Human Rights Council is not obsessed with Israel.
Then, Josh is joined by Moshe Greenshpan, founder and CEO of Face-Six, an Israeli-American facial recognition technology company. Greenshpan says his company provides a variety of security solutions for both public and private facilities. Some suggest that if its technology had been in place at the site of the church massacre in South Carolina several weeks ago, or at the Jewish Museum in Brussels last night during the shootings, lives might have been saved.
Finally, Josh interviews New England Patriots star wide receiver Julian Edelman, who was in Israel last week touring the country for the first time. Edelman made a stop at Kraft Family Stadium in Jerusalem to meet with fans and give tips to the players on Israel’s national football teams.
