Israel Sends Medical Teams to Nepal

26 April 2023

Planes are carrying teams from the Israel Defense Forces, the Magen David Adom emergency service and other Israeli agencies to Nepal where a Saturday earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale has taken more than 2,000 lives.

IsrAid chair Shachar Zahavi speaks via phone from the airport as he prepares to lead a mission of medical supplies and services to the country and Deputy Spokesman for the Israel Foreign Ministry Alon Lavi talks about the ministry's efforts to contact the 250 Israelis who are still unaccounted for.
