Iran the Ally, Israel the Rogue State, and a 50-Year Occupation?
|
Why is the US administration creating a hostile atmosphere in relation to Israel? Why is there so much vitriol against Israel's democratic decisions? Eugene Kontorovich is a professor at Northwestern University School of Law, an expert on constitutional and international law, and a senior fellow at the Kohelet Policy Forum in Jerusalem. He joins VOI's Yishai Fleisher in-studio to discuss the growing high-volume rift between the US and Israel and among American Jews.
Then, Helen Freedman, executive director of Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI), joins Yishai in-studio to share her view that the J Street crowd does not represent American Jewry -- and certainly not Israeli Jewry. But what about Jews on campuses? Eve Harow, tour guide and VOI show host, also joins Yishai to talk about the phenomenon among liberal American Jews losing their loyalty to the Jewish nation. Is an old pattern being repeated?
