Fighting Terror, Helping the Blind, and Hearing from Ambassadors(50:41)
|
In the wake of Friday’s terror attacks in France, Tunisia and Kuwait, Dov calls on world leaders to wake up and band together to fight ISIS and fundamentalist Islam. Otherwise, he says, we will never succeed in defeating this global threat.
Then, Dov is joined by Noach Braun, founder of the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind. Noach explains why he established the center; how the center transforms puppies into guide dogs; how it matches dogs with blind people, and then follows up to make sure the matches work. He also tells Dov how people can get involved and help the center. Then, Bracha Ben Avraham, a blind woman who received a guide dog from the center, describes the transformation her dog has brought to her life.
Then, Dov is joined by Matthew Gould, the outgoing UK ambassador to Israel. Ambassador Gould describes his areas of focus during these past five years; how he views the current UK-Israel relationship; and recounts some of his more memorable personal experiences.
Finally, Dov is joined by Israeli Ambassador to South Africa Arthur Lenk. Lenk describes Israel’s challenging relationship with South Africa and his efforts to repair it. He also talks about the significance of the Israeli delegation to Nelson Mandela’s funeral.
