Discovering Jewish Roots from Nazi Records

VOI's Josh Hasten is joined by Rabbi Reuven Spolter, overseas rabbinic liaison for the religious-Zionist organization Tzohar, to hear about its Shorashim (roots)program, which helps immigrants to Israel from the Former Soviet Union prove their Jewish status. This often involves scouring Nazi-era archives at the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem.

Then, Josh is joined by Michele Rojas-Tal, director of Diaspora education for "Stand With Us," who explains his organization's Washington, DC-area billboard campaign alerting US taxpayers to the fact that their money might be financing the salaries of Palestinian Authority terrorists in Israeli prisons.
