Shabbat Shalom from Voice of Israel
This week, as Israelis prepared for and then commemorated Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day, anxiety was high in the country for additional reasons. The aftermath of the framework agreement between the P5+1 and Iran, including the discrepancy between the American and Iranian versions of it, and the passage of the US Senate bill giving Congress a greater say in any future deal, has taken center stage. So, too, has Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's negotiations with potential coalition partners to form the next government. Rumors of a secret meeting with Opposition leader Isaac Herzog have led to speculation that a national-unity government is in the works, as well as to questions about whether this might be connected in some way with confronting the Islamic Republic. Voice of Israel has been addressing these and other issues with customary depth. Here is a highlight from a program you may have missed, that discusses the possibility of rolling back the nuclear framework agreement.
