National Security's Dan Diker hosts former Pentagon Islamic Affairs Expert Dr. Harold Rhode and VOI's Arab Affairs Analyst Bassem Eid to debate whether Jews and Arabs can cooperate to stabilize and harmonize an unstable Middle East. Eid warns that civil strife within Arab societies could transform into a Muslim world war, and suggests that any change requires a comprehensive reform of Islam. Rhode counters that Islam as a religion is not easily given to major reform. Rather, he suggests, reform-minded Muslims and Jews must cooperate in making the Middle East a more inviting and palatable region for all its inhabitants.
