Harry Rubin, head of the International law section at the New York law firm of Ropes and Grey and an expert in US Israel relations, tells VOI's Dan Diker the United States is pursuing a bifurcated Middle East policy: backing Israel 100% on counter- terrorism and national security requirements yet pressuring the Jewish state on the political issue of peace with the Palestinians.
