Delving into the Dangers of Islam and Teaching Truth(50:39)
|
On the fast of Tisha B’Av, VOI’s Daniel Seaman and Daniela Traub discuss the fall of the Temple and the fate of Temple artifacts and treasures. They call on the Vatican to reveal whether it is in possession of the ancient heirlooms of the Jewish people. They also criticize Diaspora Jews, whose support for Israel — according to a new study — is in decline. They call such Jews to task for being willing to sacrifice Israel, in order to feel more comfortable in the countries in which they live.
Then, Daniel and Daniela are joined in-studio by Israeli Channel 10’s Arab affairs correspondent, Zvi Yehezkeli, to discuss his recent reports on Ramadan sermons in mosques throughout Israel — and particularly on the Temple Mount — that show a worrisome move towards support for ISIS. He also talks about the televised series in which he went undercover in Muslim-dominated areas of Europe.
Then, in an attempt to improve the quality of foreign media coverage of Israel, Tazpit News Agency and the Face of Israel hold an annual training conference for journalism and communications students. Daniel and Daniela are joined in-studio by Tazpit co-director Yifa Segal to talk about the project; and participants Annalena Gleich of Germany and Andrea Preciado of Colombia share their seminar and Israel experiences.
Finally, on this week’s Top 5, Daniel and Daniela list their top pop-culture villains who, despite their dastardliness, do not come close to the real-life evil of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
